Mashes are very useful for hydrating horses and volumising their feed.
TopSpec Linseed Mash combines the best of traditional knowledge with modern technology. Rich in linseed and oatbran this mash contains just 11% starch, yet the scattering of flaked maize and flaked peas lends a mix-like appearance to this irresistible mash.
Linseed Mash is suitable for:-
- Horses having difficulty chewing e.g. elderly horses with dental problems.
- Horses that need hydrating e.g. away from home/during the winter and/or after hard work.
- Horses that need to gain weight but need a mash.
- Situations where a diet high in Omega-3 fatty acids is needed.
- Use as a carrier mash for supplements, balancers and/or medication.
- Horses with poor coats. This coat improving effect increases when fed with a high-biotin TopSpec feed balancer, TopSpec All-in-One multi-supplement, or TopSpec Healthy Hoof.
- Times when owners wish to feed a warm (less than 40oC) mash.
The typical ingredients in TopSpec Linseed Mash are Soya Hulls (GM), Micronised Linseed Meal, Linseed Expeller, Beet Pulp, Grass, High Fibre Oat By-Product, Oat Bran Flakes, Wheatbran, Flaked Maize, Molasses, Micronised Flaked Peas, Wheatfeed, Calcium Carbonate, Sodium Chloride, Dicalcium Phosphate, Magnesium Oxide.
